Una banda delincuencial dedicada a infiltrarse en las discotecas más concurridas de Arequipa para pepear a los parroquianos fue desarticulada en un trabajo conjunto entre la policía y fiscalía. A estos delincuentes no les importaba si sus víctimas era mujer o varón. Ellos robaban cualquier objeto de valor como celulares y los despojaban de sus ahorros bancarios si es que les encontraban tarjetas bancarias para luego abandonarlos en descampados.

Las fuerzas del orden allanaron nueve viviendas de los integrantes de la organización criminal denominada “los fantasmas del sur” donde se descubrió 1638 celulares, 07 laptops, un pos, 34 memorias, 21 micro SD, 28 municiones, tres vehículos, pastillas clonazepan, joyas de oro y plata, casquetes de taxi, relojes además de autopartes. También se halló S/.8246.60 soles y $ 100 dólares.
LOS FANTASMAS DEL SUR
En esta organización todo estaba calculado al milímetro. Cada uno cumplía un rol específico para captar a sus víctimas entre los asistentes a las discotecas. Algunos se encargaban de identificar a quienes hacían ostentación de tener recursos económicos para el pago de sus consumos.
Otro grupo conseguía entablar amistad con la víctima para luego pepearla con somníferos diluidos en el licor. Una vez que los fármacos hacían efecto en el agraviado procedían a embarcarlos en un falso taxi conducido por otro integrante de la banda.
LES ROBABAN TODO
Una vez que el pepeado estaba en el vehículo procedían a robarle cuanto objeto de valor tenía en su poder como celulares, dinero en efectivo, relojes, joyas y si encontraban tarjetas de crédito nada les impedía desbalijar las cuentas de ahorros de sus víctimas.
Los delincuentes contaban con un terminal de venta (POS) donde podían vaciar las cuentas, realizar transferencias o compras por internet mientras el agraviado estaba inconsciente.
La pepa puede tener un efecto de más de 24 horas tiempo en el cual los delincuentes podían hacer lo que querían con su víctima que finalmente era abandonado en zonas agrestes o descampados.
OPERACIÓN POLICIAL
El personal de la división de investigación contra el crimen organizado y la fiscalía provincial Corporativa Especializada Contra la Criminalidad Organizada del distrito fiscal de Arequipa ejecutaron el miércoles 17 de noviembre el mega operativo policial con descerraje, allanamiento, registro domiciliario, incautación y detención preliminar a los integrantes de la organización criminal luego de recabar bastante información sobre su accionar delictivo.
La investigación permitió establecer que el cabecilla era José Orestes Bustamante Castillo, (a) “Negro Callao” reo con prisión preventiva en el penal de Socabaya. Este sujeto se encargaría de dirigir a la banda desde el penal al contar con celulares a su disposición.
Los demás investigados son de Francisco Silva V., «Juancho»; Yojan Llerena R., «Yojan»; Bryan Catacora Ch., «Bryan»; Alan Silva V., «Alan»; Irvin Acosta D., «Shagui»; Stefani Guisbert P., «Tefa»; Eliza Navarrete P., «Ayme»; Erwin Urbina F, «Chileno». A todos se les dictó prisión preliminar por 15 días al estar acusados del delito de organización criminal y robo agravado.
Hasta el momento se verificó que 15 celulares de los encontrados estaban registrados como robados en las operadoras telefónicas. Sin embargo, se sospecha que el resto de equipos móviles también figuren como sustraídos.
