Como parte de las celebraciones por el 484º Aniversario de la ciudad, se organizó el I Concurso de Poesía Loncca en la Plaza de Armas, destacando la rica tradición poética de la región. El evento, diseñado para promover y preservar la poesía Loncca arequipeña entre la niñez y la juventud, se llevó a cabo en tres categorías por edades: A (6 a 11 años), B (12 a 16 años) y C (17 años en adelante).
LOS CORITOS
En la Categoría A, el primer puesto fue para «Pobre de mi cantarilla vieja y que se fue y nunca volverá», de Luis Albino Beltrán Zambrano, declamado por Dayanna Sofía Apaza Colque.

El segundo y tercer puestos correspondieron a «Arequipa Chacarera», de Aaron Leonel Linares Condori, y «Ya viene el Cuy Chactao», de Renato Elías Linares Condori, respectivamente, ambos interpretados por los mismos autores. Los jóvenes poetas mostraron un talento innato y una conexión profunda con su cultura.
LOS MALTONES DE LA POESÍA LONCCA
En la Categoría B, el primer lugar fue para «Pobre de mi cantarilla vieja y que se fue y nunca volverá», nuevamente de Luis Albino Beltrán Zambrano, declamado por Dayanna Sofía Apaza Colque.
El segundo puesto fue para «Arequipa Chacarera», de Aaron Leonel Linares Condori, interpretado por el mismo autor, y el tercer puesto para «Ya viene el Cuy Chactao», de Renato Elías Linares Condori, declamado por el propio autor. Las presentaciones de estos jóvenes poetas demostraron una evolución en su arte y un compromiso con la tradición poética de Arequipa.
LOS «VIEJOS»
En la Categoría C, el primer puesto fue para «El Bramido Ancestral», de Luis Valdez Cabrera, declamado por Evelyn Ariana Cutupa Flores.
El segundo lugar correspondió a «El Aguacero y el Techo del Racay», de Luis Alberto Beltrán Zambrano, interpretado por Nancy Marina Colque Carpio, y el tercer puesto a «La Doncella y el Ccala», de Mary Linda Tochter der Inka, quien también fue la declamadora. Estas presentaciones adultas destacaron por su emotividad y la profundidad de sus mensajes.
El concurso reunió a un total de 22 participantes, todos ellos evaluados por un jurado profesional en aspectos como expresión oral, interpretación, originalidad, mensaje y emotividad. Los premios incluyeron bicicletas, canastas de artesco, laptops y dinero en efectivo, dependiendo de la categoría y el puesto obtenido.
TRADICIONES POÉTICAS VIVAS
El I Concurso de Poesía Loncca organizado por la Municipalidad Provincial de Arequipa no solo fue un homenaje a la poesía tradicional de Arequipa, sino también una promesa de que estas tradiciones poéticas seguirán vivas en las futuras generaciones.
La atmósfera del evento estuvo impregnada de historia y emoción, reflejando el orgullo y la riqueza cultural de la ciudad.
